I create comics, fabric designs, some fashion illustration, play ukulele, love paranormal/cryptid podcasts, and learning languages. I am advanced in French, intermediate in Spanish, and beginner in Korean. I started this blog so I can journal about stuff I like instead of sending my friends epically long texts which I'm sure they're tired of.
My uncle gave me my grandparents’ old travel stuff like brochures and postcards. I’m going to throw some of them away because I’m trying to clean up and get rid of clutter.
It’s vintage stuff and I feel like someone out there might appreciate seeing them, so I’m going to post them here.
They went to Japan in 1970. These are just a few things. 

These are my Duolingo stats for 2022.
Last year I started using flashcards again and it has improved my vocabulary immensely. I wish I had been using flashcards from the beginning. My vocabulary would be a lot bigger now. Probably double or more in size.
I put flashcards up all around the house. I put them above the sink in the kitchen and the bathrooms. I have them clipped in piles on the dining table and next to the couch. I also have them in the bedroom to look at before I go to sleep.
My main target language is Korean, but last year I started learning Finnish. I have no reason to learn Finnish, but I love it so much! It is such a fun language and the grammar is so close to English that you end up learning it faster than other languages.
I speak it to my dog sometimes and he seems to understand. He likes it. 😆 
I found a library book at the digital library that lists only Korean translated to Finnish vocabulary words. So, I made flashcards where I can learn both languages at the same time. I heard that it’s better to learn more than one language at one time, so this works out great for me.
I got this Loog kids’ guitar for Christmas hoping that it will be easier for me to learn play on an electric guitar. It has a built-in amp, so you don’t have to plug it in, but you can if you want to. Playing guitar is still not easy! I lack finger strength and length.
I want to play and sing K-pop songs but I’m still 1) learning to speak Korean and 2) playing those songs are hard! I’m trying to learn to play fingerstyle because my strumming sounds horrible on guitar. It’s so bad it’s like why even bother.
But the guitar looks pretty.
My husband started watching Wednesday with me. We were laughing at the things she was saying and he said, “I know why you like her! She’s totally you!” Lol Not in appearance, but she says things I say like, “Hell is other people” and “No good deed goes unpunished.” I navigate pretty well in the dark and don’t turn the light on a lot of the time. I have her humor. I like cloudy, rainy days. We both like to write, too. 😆 I don’t play cello, though. I play ukulele. I’m not completely like her. Hahahah!
It’s Duolingo’s 10th anniversary. I just ordered this anniversary plushy of Duo. I’m not into stuffed animals but this is so kawaii! I had to have it.

After so much advanced technology they still have not improved the pencil eraser.
It’s Monday. I’m still putting up with people and they’re still putting up with me.
